Chad continues to intensify its diplomatic activity, which began at the start of the year. After strengthening its sub-regional cooperation with Niger and Burkina Faso in early February, alongside reconciliation with Paris, N'Djamena is keen to diversify its partners. On 12 February, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad, Djangbeye G. Évariste, granted an audience to the chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Chad, Qi Xianming. At the end of the meeting, both parties welcomed a strong strategic partnership and renewed their commitment to consolidating mutually beneficial cooperation.

In the same vein, the expansion of partnerships that N'Djamena considers essential for its stability and economic development has been formalised through the approval of a new loan agreement with the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADDF). The Chadian Senate adopted the ADDF's $250 million loan agreement, which is intended to support the national budget and assist in the implementation of the ‘Chad Connection 2030’ National Development Plan.
